Part of our commitment includes a clear and straightforward return policy for materials, excluding online products. If you are not completely satisfied with your ServSafe materials, please review the guidelines below to understand the return process. To initiate a return, it is essential to contact the National Restaurant Association Service Center first to obtain a Return Authorization Number.

How to Obtain a Return Authorization Number

Before sending back any products, please call the National Restaurant Association Service Center to request a Return Authorization Number. This number is essential for processing your return efficiently.

Important Points Regarding Returns

To ensure a smooth return process and receive appropriate credit or exchange, please take note of the following key aspects of our return policy:

  • Return Authorization is Mandatory: Your Return Authorization Number must be clearly visible on the exterior of all return packages. This applies to merchandise returned for credit, exchange, or damaged goods being returned for replacement.

  • Online Product Policy: Please be aware that all sales of online products, including online courses and online exams, are final. These items are nonrefundable and nonreturnable. Note that online courses have an expiration period, typically one year from purchase or 60 to 90 days from course launch/completion, depending on the specific course.

  • 30-Day Return Window: All product returns must be initiated within 30 days from the date of the original invoice. Please ensure returns are sent promptly to be eligible for processing.

  • Non-Returnable Custom Materials: Customized materials are specifically created to meet unique needs and are therefore non-returnable.

  • Resalable Condition is Required: Returned products must be in their original and resalable condition to qualify for a return. CDs and videos must be unopened. Items returned in damaged condition will not be credited and will be returned to the customer at their expense.

  • Proper Packaging for Returns: Include a copy of the original invoice or packing slip in the first box of your return shipment. Clearly display the Return Authorization Number on the outside of every box. If sending multiple boxes, please label them (e.g., 1 of 4, 2 of 4). Remove or mark out any unrelated shipping labels. Whenever possible, use the original packaging to ensure the products are adequately protected during transit. Please note that National Restaurant Association Solutions, LLC does not cover original shipping costs for returns.

  • Correct Return Address: Returning products to any address other than the one provided by the Service Center will lead to delays in processing your credit and may incur a $25.00 processing fee. Returns to the National Restaurant Association business address or lockbox are not permitted. Always use the return address provided by the Service Center.

  • Traceable Shipping Methods: For your protection and to ensure your return is received, please use a traceable shipping method such as Federal Express, UPS, RPS, or Insured/Certified First Class Mail. We cannot issue credit for packages that cannot be traced back to our warehouse.

  • Call-Tags for Fulfillment Errors: Call-tags for return shipping will only be issued if the National Restaurant Association is responsible for a fulfillment error. Call-tags will not be issued for other return reasons.
