We are excited to announce the return of the Mineplex closed beta, starting tonight, December 23rd, 2024! Thanks to GoofIt’s dedicated work, we’re bringing back a beloved classic, Christmas Chaos, aiming to deliver a more traditional Mineplex experience for the holidays, as many of you requested. We believe this iteration will be closer to what you’ve been hoping for in holiday games on the Mineplex server.
Since our last beta, we’ve been focusing on crucial behind-the-scenes improvements. Our primary efforts have been directed towards enhancing our server infrastructure, refining the in-game punishment system, and improving the overall experience for our valued studio partners. These changes are foundational to ensuring a smoother and more stable Mineplex server environment going forward.
It’s important to understand that the server is still a work in progress. We recognize that it requires further development in terms of polish, visual appeal, and that familiar Mineplex feel that everyone knows and loves. We are not quite there yet, but these essential infrastructure changes are vital steps that position us to incorporate these features in the near future. The Party and Friends UI is also still under development but nearing completion. In Nuclear’s words, “We’re almost out of our Unravel Era, and moving forward to Katharsis,” – though the exact meaning remains a bit of a mystery!
Here’s a summary of the key improvements we’ve implemented:
- Infrastructure Stability: We have collaborated with legal counsel and our studio partners to strengthen our back-end systems. This ensures they possess the necessary data and infrastructure to effectively prevent the stability issues encountered in October, leading to a more robust Mineplex server.
- Improved Moderation and Punishment System: We’ve implemented a better in-game moderation and punishment system. This system is designed to be more effective and will also provide greater clarity for players who wish to appeal any punishments received on the Mineplex server.
- Cosmetic Inventory System: We are developing a cosmetic inventory system, which will be rolled out shortly after this announcement. Once live, this system will enable us to introduce in-game cosmetics, including your phoenix pets and a range of new cosmetics we have in development for the Mineplex server.
