Discover Sheboygan’s Sweetest Secret: Blast Soft Serve Ice Cream Shop

As the summer heat embraces Sheboygan, locals have discovered the perfect antidote to the rising temperatures: Blast Soft Serve, the city’s newest and most talked-about ice cream destination. This charming walk-up shop, located at 406 Pennsylvania Ave., has quickly become a neighborhood favorite, offering a delightful escape for those seeking a cool treat.

A Neighborhood Ice Cream Oasis

Don’t let its unassuming appearance fool you; Blast Soft Serve operates from a dedicated building designed solely for sweet treat creation. While it might feel like you’re walking up to a friendly home, this spot is all business when it comes to serving up smiles. With inviting benches and tables sprinkled around the exterior, customers are encouraged to linger and savor every delicious bite in the pleasant outdoor setting.

Since its grand opening in late May, Blast Soft Serve has experienced an incredible surge in popularity, often bustling with eager customers. Owner Dennis Evans shares, “You never truly know how the community will respond when you launch something new. We’ve been absolutely thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive reception so far.” This warm welcome speaks volumes about Sheboygan’s appetite for quality ice cream and the delightful experience Blast Soft Serve provides.

Indulge in a Blast of Flavors and Classic Treats

Blast Soft Serve isn’t just another ice cream shop; it’s a treasure trove of tempting treats. Their menu boasts an array of delightful options, from rich homemade cookie dough and a cascade of popular candy toppings to refreshing slush puppies and comforting root beer floats. Of course, no ice cream parlor is complete without the classics, and Blast Soft Serve delivers with creamy shakes, thick malts, crispy cones, decadent sundaes, and shareable banana splits.

For those seeking a dairy-free delight, the ever-popular Dole Whip is readily available, ensuring everyone can partake in the frozen fun. Adding to the excitement, Blast Soft Serve plans to introduce specialty flavors that rotate with the seasons. This summer’s special, a tangy “Rhubarb Sauce,” proved to be a hit, selling out quickly and leaving customers eager for the next seasonal sensation. Looking ahead, keep an eye out for weekly specials, a planned feature designed to encourage adventurous palates to explore new and exciting flavor combinations. As Evans explains, these specials are “a fun way to introduce people to flavors they might not typically try.”

A Family’s Journey to Sheboygan’s Sweet Spot

The story behind Blast Soft Serve is as heartwarming as their frozen desserts. Owners Dennis and Jamie Evans relocated to Sheboygan from Minnesota, where they previously owned another successful ice cream shop, also named Blast Soft Serve. Their move to Wisconsin was motivated by a desire to be closer to family, and Sheboygan unexpectedly captured their hearts.

Jamie Evans recounts, “Sheboygan wasn’t initially on our radar, but we stumbled upon it and instantly fell in love with the area. We discovered what we believed to be the ideal location, and serendipitously, it was available. One thing led to another, and we found ourselves moving here to embark on this new chapter.”

While still finalizing some setup aspects to make the shop even more perfect, Blast Soft Serve is fully operational and ready to serve the Sheboygan community. Dennis Evans perfectly encapsulates their vision: “This concept, a simple, neighborhood ice cream shop, isn’t as common in this area. We are incredibly pleased and grateful for the wonderful response from Sheboygan.”
