BDIX stands for Bangladesh Internet Exchange. It is essentially an internet service that is primarily offered by Broadband ISPs (Internet Service Providers) in Bangladesh.
Typically, a standard ISP might utilize FTP (File Transfer Protocol) servers to provide its customers with the convenience of downloading files at high speeds.
BDIX, in essence, is a system that connects these FTP servers together. This means that FTP servers from different ISPs are interconnected through the BDIX platform. As a result, any user utilizing BDIX can easily download files at high speeds from another ISP’s FTP server within the country.
The BDIX platform was initiated in 2009 and officially licensed by the Bangladesh government in 2011.
