Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities in this server position will include:

- Order Taking and Menu Knowledge: Accurately taking food and beverage orders, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens. Offering recommendations and upselling when appropriate.
- Food and Beverage Service: Serving food courses and beverages according to established service standards, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Coordinating with the kitchen staff to manage wait times, special requests, and dietary requirements.
- Table Maintenance and Setup: Setting tables meticulously according to event type and service standards. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of tables and service stations throughout service. Clearing tables efficiently after guests depart.
- Point of Sale (POS) System Operation: Utilizing the MICROS system to accurately record orders, process transactions, and handle payments. Generating and presenting accurate checks to guests.
- Communication and Teamwork: Maintaining clear and effective communication with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to ensure seamless service. Collaborating with team members to achieve common goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Following all company policies, safety regulations, and security protocols. Reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management. Maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets.
- Professionalism and Presentation: Adhering to uniform and grooming standards, maintaining a clean and professional appearance. Projecting a positive and courteous demeanor at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this server position, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in a food service or customer service role is highly desirable.
- Customer Service Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Menu Knowledge: Ability to quickly learn and retain menu details, including ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods.
- POS System Proficiency: Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, preferably MICROS, for order entry and payment processing.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods, as well as lift and carry trays and dishes weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.
